It is non-transferable, and the stated remedy is replacement product or refund of the original purchase price. Labor for application or removal is excluded.
Sherwin-Williams Uses Similar Limits
Sherwin-Williams’ published lifetime limited warranty covers specified peeling or blistering but excludes failures resulting from improper surface preparation, structural defects, failure of previous paint or improper application. Its stated liability is replacement coating or refund of the original purchase price, with labor excluded.
Why This Matters on a $10,000 Paint Job
The expensive part of repainting a house is often labor, access, masking, cleaning, repair and preparation—not the gallons of finish paint. A warranty that replaces $600 of paint can still leave the homeowner responsible for thousands of dollars of labor.
